Google was in business over a year and a half before issuing its first press release. The product had a taken on a life of its own thanks to a community of fanatical users. That’s how word of great products spread.
You’ve got that right.

Usually. Sometimes. Some products lend themselves to viral propagation, either because of network effects or because they’re dramatic improvements over what was there before. It’s dangerous to operate a business on the theory that “they will come” once the product is sufficiently good.

So true, especially if your product is targeted at businesses.
Every business has the potential to be a Google. It just depends how good your choices are a long the way.

techbytes.biz logo

In computer science a byte (pronounced "bite", IPA: /baɪt/) is a unit of measurement of information storage, most often consisting of eight bits.

techbytes.biz is a unit of measurement of information about all things digitized from the perspective of Douglas Craver.

Doug is a tech marketing and operations action strategist and startup craftsman, entrepreneur, writer, huge Hammond B3 Organ fan - and any musician who can master one - and a great cook (I’m told I can, “throw it down”) based in Northeast Ohio.

I like to think of techbytes.biz as a utilitarian tumblelog and virtual workspace. I hope you enjoy your visit, comment and come back soon.
